GeoCet provides high quality personnel and technical support to a variety of industries. We offer certified wildlife biologists and other environmental experts for work with listed species during wetland delineations and permitting, biological surveys, marine mammal observation, onshore / offshore E & P mitigation services, and certified training. We pride ourselves in our research capabilities from experimental design and project implementation through final publication in peer reviewed journals. All of our work is conducted with operational needs in mind while maintaining the highest ethical and scientific standards.
A Wetland Delineation
Our wetland delineators are professional ecologists or botanists who have completed all necessary training and have conducted wetland delineations under the supervision of experienced professionals. We assist in project design and mitigation for both small and large scale projects. We believe it is both possible and desirable to meet the conservation needs of wetland protection within the project design and assist in every step from conception, through permitting, to long term mitigation monitoring.
Environmental Surveys
Our team of environmental specialists conduct surveys of natural habitats to identify, record, and monitor plant and/or animal species and assess potential impacts to natural resources. We provide baseline studies as well as risk assessment services for environmental planning. Our staff works alongside government, academic, and private sector firms and have a reputation for responsiveness and sound science. GeoCet maintains an array of permits to allow studies on species of interest for acacemic and regulatory research.
Onshore / Offshore E & P Mitigation Services
We have extensive experience working with federal, state, and local agencies to write and implement protected species watch programs during geophysical operations, marine demolition and marine construction. Our working relationship with government agency personnel and industry enables consensus building for the entire project.
Data collection and reporting are of the highest standards; 100% factual and unbiased, capable of scientific and legal scrutiny. Our Marine Mammal Observers (MMOs) are available 24hrs/day, 7 days a week with rapid response capabilities to any location, world-wide. We are available for consultation to advise or implement appropriate mitigation measures in areas where regulations are not yet in place, but where operators want to use a “best practices” approach to their operations. Our observer standards are among the highest in the industry.
Training
Training and education are also integral parts of our service portfolio. The GeoCet Group provides full certified training for Marine Mammal Observers under the regulations in seismic mitigation NTL 2007-G02. GeoCet has met all of the Minerals Management Service (MMS) training qualifications.
GeoCet is a certified SafeGulf training provider and the only training provider in the southeastern US. SafeGulf is the basic Gulf of Mexico safety training standard developed by four major offshore oil companies: BP, Shell, Chevron and ExxonMobil. All contractors who perform offshore work for these operators must be listed in the SafeGulf database. All GeoCet personnel have this training.
In addition to regulatory training, we provide industry and public education through our “lunch and learn” seminars which are geared to provide basic information about subjects of environmental interest in a casual format. Lead MMOs provide similar seminars on board client vessels and during project start up meetings, or provide the information needed for your own in-house presentations. The GeoCet Group provides a significant value added enhancement to any environmental compliance program. Furthermore, GeoCet offers programs that fit just about any educational need, from K-12 programs through professional conferences.
Health, Safety & Environment
While the environment is our business, we at GeoCet understand the need for solid Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and consider them the very core of our business. The GeoCet Group is a certified SafeGulf Trainer, an industry standard offshore safety-training program, and GeoCet subscribes to OSHA standards on line safety audits through ISNetworld and PEC Premier.
